1) had a baby
2) learned how to change a diaper (never did that before)
3) changed lots of diapers
4) stared for hours on end at my baby
5) showed the baby to other people
6) washed clothes (mine and baby's--we are both messier than I ever imagined)
7) slept a little bit, in stretches no longer than four hours (four hours! I know! I'm blessed!)
8) sent lots of baby pictures to family
9) forgotten I had a blog
10) remembered I had a blog, but didn't find time to write in it
So here I am again. Maybe I'll give this blogging thing one more go. I like doing it, but finding the time? Sheesh. Of course, lots of other people who are MUCH BUSIER THAN I AM manage to do this, so I should be able to pull it off.
But since my world is baby, baby, baby for the moment, I don't have much else to report. So, I'll leave you with a photo of Abigail Ann.
p.s. What is this thing called knitting? I hear it involves yarn and sticks, but I just can't imagine how it works.

Welcome back and welcome to the world, Abigail Ann! Don't worry about being silent for a while - any one of us who is a mom (or dad) will completely understand.

Oh my GOD! She is soooo adorable! So glad to hear from you! When we got the news from Franklin, we figured it would be a while until you got in the swing of it again. Baby Baby Baby world is a great place to be! Keep those photos coming!
I've been wondering lately how you've been doing. I had a good chuckle at Abigail's t-shirt. I'm sure you've discovered just how true it is.
welcome back!
AA's shirt is all you need to know.
she is so beautiful!
hopefully phil is helping out with the baby and house chores.
get some rest - we will be here when you get back.
Mazal Tov! she is so beautiful :)
Changing diapers and staring at lovely tiny one is much better than knitting, don't let anyone tell you anything else :)
It's good to see you're back. As time goes on, I am sure you'll get into a schedule and somewhere in there will be time to blog. You should be enjoying your baby right now though. She's your priority. I'll keep checking for updates. And I too love the t-shirt. She is just too cute!!
She is completely beautiful. I'm a mother of four, and the time for stuff like blogging and knitting comes and goes in unpredictable amounts. Don't worry, you'll get it all figured out! And then it'll all change!
BLESSINGs, Sister Sue! Now you give yourself a break and don't worry about us. We'll be here whenever you have the time and can spare the energy. The four-hour stretch thing STILL sucks goose-eggs when you're not used to it.
Drink your water, breath deeply, and you let that housework go right to Helena Handbasket. She takes care of everything in due time.
(And I'd eat her wee little FEET if she were nearby. Hey, I'll be in Maine in August for a wedding...ha! Nothing says "stalker" QUITE like opening up your mailbox to a handwritten note on the back of a NYS truway reciept, "Don't freak out. I'm in the Corolla across the street. I'm just watching the baby, not you. Actually, just her feet.") ;-)
Enjoy the tininess. It does NOT last long!
Hugs,
Dhi
As the mother of 4 I promise that you'll find time to do all sorts of things. But first you must gaze upon Abigail, and show her off and get some sleep. Everything else can wait. She is beautiful.
Congrats, she's beautiful, and all of us who've been there know how babies eat time.
Hang in there, take care of yourself, and happy babybabybaby.
p.s. how much of a blessing is a baby - my verification word is mtvznxh which is close enuf to mitzvah for me!
The shirt says alot -bought back 17 1/2 year old memories I can tell you! You just work out what suits you both! Your daughter is georgous!
Just saw the christening pictures on your brother's blog. Wonderful!
Hi,
My name is Susan Ripley and I apologize if you have already received this message from myself or an associate. I am gathering knitting and crochet patterns for the 2009 Pattern-A-Day Calendars from Accord Publishing. I am contacting you today in the hopes that you will submit a pattern or hang the attached flyer somewhere in your store or post it to your website / BLOG /pod cast to let your customers and friends know about the design contest and the chance to get their designs published. You could also email the flyer if you have a mailing list. Patterns are accepted from individuals, shops, charities and yarn companies. There are no restrictions and the patterns can also be something that is currently being distributed for free. You maintain all ownership – you just give us permission to print and distribute.
Some of the yarn shops that have worked with us in the past have also offered fun pattern design/writing classes. This is a great way to get customers into your store while taking advantage of this great contest. $500 will be awarded as First place for both calendars; there are also 2nd and 3rd place prizes; and all contributors whose patterns are used will receive a 2009 calendar.
In addition, it can be great advertising. Every pattern you submit will have a credit to the designer along with a link to their website or blog. If you are a yarn company or store, your store name is listed as well as the designer’s name.
Please go to our website at http://www.knittingpatternaday.com and learn more about the submission requirements and our contest. The contest deadline is December 15th, 2007. If you have any questions, please contact me and I will gladly answer your questions. If your email program stripped the PDF, you can download the flyer at http://knittingpatternaday.com/images/designcontest.pdf
Thanks,
Susan Ripley
